August 10, 2010 - September North American Tour
Hello Friends,
Well last night I dreamt that I accidentaly drove to Chicago when I was supposed to drive to Newark, because I typed “Chicago” into Google Maps instead of “Newark.”
I have taken this dream as an omen. I will be taking a combination of trains, busses, airplanes, and the occasional drive to a series of cities across the US & Canada. I hope you live in one of them! Like Thelonious Monk says, “I can shoot pool, and I can play ping-pong. I’m pretty good at those games.” In my case I would say “Well I can shoot hoops, and I can juggle up to 5 objects at a time although with 5 it only lasts about 15 seconds.”
best,
Sam

Absolutely thrilled to see you’re coming to Chapel Hill. Saw you a couple months ago at Big Ears, and am looking forward to another show.
Now just bring Gang Gang Dance with you and we’ll have another dance party!

I just attended the concert at the church in Ghent and I just then figured out that the r.kelly song says “What a relief to know that love is still alive” instead of what I was thinking: “What a relief to know that love is still a lie”

Hi Sam,
Great show tonight at bootleg. You are an amazing
musician and storyteller. Your dreadful moan puts Lloyd Christmas’ to shame. Hope to see you next time you’re in town. Have a safe trip home!
